Opening Times

The Irish National Heritage Park is open all year round and, like our ancestors, opening hours are influenced by the seasons, with later opening during Summer months.

January — February
9:30 am – 5:00 pm last entry time: 3 pm

March— June
9:30 am – 5:30 pm last entry time: 4 pm

July — August
9:30 am – 6:30 pm last entry time: 5 pm

September — October
9:30 am – 5:30 pm last entry time: 4 pm

November — December
9:30 am – 5:00 pm last entry 3 pm

(Closed for Christmas break –  Monday the 23rd of December – Reopens on Saturday the 28th of December)

 

Tour Times (Sept & Oct)

Pre-Historic Ireland
9:45 am & 12:30 & 15:30pm

Early Christian Ireland
10:30am & 13:15pm

Age of Invasion
11:30am & 14:30pm

The duration of both the Prehistoric and Early Christian tours is 30 minutes, while the Age of Invasion tour takes 40/45 minutes.

Things To See And Do

The park has 16 reconstructed sites for you to see and learn about, from the Dolmen to Fulacht Fiadh and the Crannog to Viking Ship. The park is situated on 35 acres for you to explore, from hillside to estuary and woodland to riverbank.

    Join any one of the three guided tours - Pre-Historic Ireland, Early Christian Ireland or The Age of Invasion – or make a day of it and do all three.

    Our restaurant and café facility with both indoor and outdoor seating, is situated in the Visitor Centre building and offers spectacular views over the Crannog.
