Sounding Seams
Artist & composer Laura Hyland returns to the Irish National Heritage Park this June for the third chapter of her Sounding Seams series.
This time exploring the theme of chaos and order through sound. She’ll be accompanied by her inimitable quartet, Clang Sayne, featuring Carolyn Goodwin (woodwinds), Caimin Gilmore (double bass) & Matthew Jacobson (percussion).
Laura Hyland is an artist & composer from Wexford. Her work spans composition, performance, sound sculpture & poetry. Her latest commission – for Ireland’s foremost contemporary classical 10tet, Crash Ensemble – was recently premiered in the National Concert Hall in April at New Music Dublin festival. She is the founder & artistic director of experimental choir, Wildsong Ensemble, and has released two critically acclaimed albums with her avant-folk quartet, Clang Sayne. Her music has been described as “exhilarating in its refusal to conform” (Wire Magazine)
